Summary of Cover

Full payment of deposit and/or final payment (less an administration charge) in the event of cancellation of your holiday for any of the following reasons: death, accident, sickness, compulsory quarantine, jury service, or witness summons of your self or any person with whom you intend to travel, or death accident or sickness of the husband, wife, child, father, mother, father in law, mother in law, or close business associate of yourself or any person with whom you intend to travel, your home being rendered uninhabitable by fire, explosion, subsidence, malicious damage, storm or flood; or Police requesting your presence at home following burglary at home or your place of business, cancellation of leave by HM Armed Forces or HM Police.

* Persons booking from overseas should arrange their own cancellation cover appropriate to their special travel arrangements.

Conditions Precedent

That all the above mentioned persons do not suffer from any illness, disease, infirmity or disability for which medical advice or treatment is being received or awaited at the time of booking. If the property remains unlet the client is due to pay in full. The agents reserve the right to pursue this claim on behalf of the owners plus any legal costs incured. If you have to cancel, please telephone Peak Cottages immediately and confirm in writing the same day. We will then send you a claims form. A doctors certificate or other relevant document will subsequently be required to support a claim.

In the event of your holiday being cut short by any of the above events you will be reimbursed for the unused portion of your holiday rental. This only applies if the property is vacated by all members of your party. If the reason for cancellation is not covered by the above terms the rent is due in full.

We will seek to relet at the best possible price but not necessarily at the advertised brochure price and if successful would normally return the balance of rental less an administration charge. The cancellation scheme does not cover any direct or indirect consequence of an act of war or terrorism, or any hostile act by a foreign organisation; civil war or unrest, rebellion, revolution, riot, or similar event. The above Cancellation Scheme supersedes all previous issues and are the conditions under which all holidays are covered.
