We hope the following notes help answer a wide variety of questions that you will think of prior to you making your decision to book a Peak Cottage holiday. We will be updating this page on a regular basis, to help you during your decision process.

 

Q: What is considered a short break and when are they available?

A: Our minimum booking out period is 3 Nights which we are happy to consider throughout the year – we do find that most visitors are invariably looking to start their short break holiday on a Thursday or Friday but we are flexible – please ask and we will always try to help at a longer lead in time than the 3 / 4 weeks we would normally stipulate.  Peak Holiday periods will normally be weekly bookings until nearer the time, but please ask, we will always try to meet your needs, just let us know your requirements

 

Q:What are your arrival and departure times?

A: These are standard for all holiday bookings, mainly Saturday starts, but if a Friday this will be stated in the property services and your booking confirmation.  The arrival time will be 3.00pm onwards, departure by 10.00am, these can only be varied by arrangement with the Owner direct - if they can help on times then they will be pleased to do so, but please be mindful of the Owners/their housekeepers need to service the accommodation during these times prior to the start of someone else’s holiday, thank you.  It is always appreciated if you can confirm your approximate arrival times direct with Owners at least three days in advance of your holiday start.

 

Q: Do we need to bring our own bedding and towels?

A: Linen is provided in all accommodation, towels in the majority and in some cases bathrobes – this information will be clearly detailed in the services section of each property description.  Please note cot linen is NOT provided.

 

Q: Do you allow pets at your properties?

A: Many of our properties allow pets, this information you will find detailed in the services of each property description.  In a number of properties more than one pet can be taken but as a courtesy to Owners we normally check with them direct before confirming your booking -  so when making your enquiry if you can confirm the age and breed of your pets then we will get back to you as soon as possible

 

Q: Are utilities included in the price of the holiday?

A: For all of our properties fuel costs are included, although with logs and coal this will normally be an initial supply sufficient to get you started at the beginning of your holiday.  We would ask that you use the heating in a reasonable manner throughout your stay - but we do want you to be comfortable at all times
