Hope’s Hideaway Ilam Sleeps in bedrooms

Situated in an elevated position in the grounds of the owners Grade II 16th Century farmhouse, this barn conversion is one of four in an ideal location from which to explore the beauty of the Peak National Park, nestling between Dovedale and the Manifold Valley.

Alton Towers and the country estates of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are only short drive away.

Converted to a very high standard, the barns retain a considerable wealth of individual charm, with exposed beams, wooden and flagged floors throughout, which all enhance the ambience of the barns.

In addition the fabrics have been carefully co-ordinated with antique furnishings to augment the appeal of these very individual barns. The barns are all adjoining and accessed off a central cobbled courtyard.

Use of spacious grounds, as advised by the owner, where you can see the pet sheep, ducks and chickens (eggs available in season). Each property has its own individual decking area to the rear.

Please note Bookings are Friday to Friday.

Of similar charm and quality to Reuben’s Roost and Bremen’s Barn, Hope’s Hideaway provides accommodation of the very highest standard, with furnishings and fabrics having been carefully selected and co-ordinated throughout.

You enter from the courtyard into the entrance hall, which has a beam ceiling and slate floor, to your right a single step takes you to a corridor. Off this corridor are two ground floor bedrooms each having two sets of single beds, beams and exposed stonewalls, adding to their charm.

Off the main hall are two bathrooms, one with a bath, hand basin and toilet, the second having a shower cubicle with power shower hand basin and toilet.

At the end of the hall to your left, is a third bedroom with a double bed, exposed stone walls, and a rear door giving access to the grass paddock to the back of the barn.

The stairs lead to the spacious landing, off to the right is the fourth bedroom with a double bed and exposed beams, giving the room extra charm.

To your left is the very spacious open plan lounge with gas log burning stove, exposed beams and trusses – this is open to the kitchen dining area, which has wooden flooring, adding to its character, and has splendid views down the valley.

This cottage is one of four cottages at the same location which can be booked together to sleep 29 people, the others are: PK473 Reubens Roost (Sleeps 6), PK474 Bremens Barn (Sleeps 9), PK707 Purdy's Place (Sleeps 5)
