Chapel House Brassington Sleeps in bedrooms

This Grade 11-listed former Methodist chapel is located in a hillside position at the top of the village with commanding views of open countryside.

A single track lane leads to the property which you enter from the gable end.

The ground floor of the chapel is arranged as an open-plan, split level, light and airy living space.

The lower level forms the sitting area with its log burning stove, wooden floors and occasional Turkish rugs. The original arched windows, period furniture and contemporary neutral fabrics all adding to its character.

A couple of steps takes you up to the gallery kitchen and dining area which is fully equipped with all the essentials you will require for your stay.

The staircase, which is split by an imposing king post truss on the landing, accesses all the bedrooms on first floor.

One bedroom has a king size double bed, one a standard double bed and the third a 4’ double bed. All have wooden floors, colourful scatter rugs and crisp cotton bedding.

The bathroom on this floor has a bath with shower over, hand basin and toilet.

There is a very limited sitting out area, which is adjacent to the car parking area for the car, about 50 yards from the property.

There is a bench, on the side of the bank opposite the Chapel, for sitting out on.

A footpath from the door leads up to the popular High Peak Trail. Nearby Carsington Water offers a range of activities including nature trails, cycling, canoeing, windsurfing and bird watching.
