Badgers Wood Nr Bakewell Sleeps in bedrooms

Situated in truly rural surroundings, with some spectacular views from the location, this is an ideal base from which to visit the many attractions the area has to offer.

Easy access to the market town of Bakewell, the history of Buxton and the country houses of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are all but a short drive.

Excellent walking exists from the location in addition to Dovedale, Lathkill Dale, Monsal Dale and Millers Dale all being nearby.

Taddington Barns (including Badgers Wood, Robins Nest, Chicken Coop and Swift's Retreat) have been sympathetically restored to fully reflect their character, with exposed beams, wooden floors and carefully co-ordinated fabrics and furnishings being used throughout.

It is possible for up to 12 people to dine together in either Badgers Wood, or Robins Nest (If booked together) which are adjacent properties at this location.

Use of grounds and facilities available as advised by the owners. The accommodation and private parking for the barns is accessed from a long sweeping drive.

You enter the accommodation which is south facing, with excellent views and enjoys the sun throughout the day, into the main entrance hall, where the accommodation has been turned upside down to provide interest and character.

The bedrooms are all on the ground floor, each with beamed ceilings giving the rooms plenty of character.

The main bedroom to your right, has a double bed and its own en suite shower room, with shower cubicle, hand basin and toilet.

The second bedroom has a double bed and a further en suite shower room, with shower cubicle, hand basin and toilet, the remaining bedroom with two adult sized bunks beds.

The general bathroom has a shower cubicle, toilet and hand basin.

The spiral staircase, from the hall, leads to the very imposing and splendid open plan reception accommodation with imposing vaulted ceilings, king post trusses, oak beams and wooden floors, the front windows taking in views across the open countryside.

The kitchen to the right is fitted and fully equipped with all the essentials you will require for your stay. This is open to the dining area with farmhouse kitchen style table (ideal for family gatherings), and the lounge area with comfortable seating. Occasional rugs and other personal touches characterise this accommodation throughout.

This cottage is one of four cottages at the same location which can be booked together to sleep 16 people, the others are: PK578 Robins Nest (Sleeps 4), PK579 Chicken Coop (Sleeps 3), PK646 Swift's Retreat (Sleeps 4)
