Mulberry Cottage Barlow Sleeps in bedrooms

This detached stone cottage has been built in the owner’s grounds in a quiet village location on the eastern edge of the Peak District National Park.

It is an ideal base for visiting many of the attractions that the area offers. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the Blue John mines at Castleton all being only a short drive away, and there are good local walks from the doorstep.

You enter the house on the second of three levels, into a large and bright open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area, with windows on three sides, the spacious kitchen having all the necessary equipment you will need for your stay.

Stairs from the lounge lead up to the main bedroom, with vaulted beamed ceiling, a king size bed and its own en suite bathroom with a bath and hand shower, toilet and hand basin. This room is full of charm and character, with fabrics and furnishings having been carefully co-ordinated throughout and enjoys excellent views of the gardens and the countryside beyond.

A further flight of stairs, from the lounge, takes you down to a large second bedroom with twin beds which can be linked together on request. This room has been styled similar to the main bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a good sized shower, toilet and hand basin. It also has the additional benefits of a sitting area with doors opening onto the lower patio which enjoys the early morning sun and views of the garden and the surrounding countryside.

The large garden has lawned areas, flower beds and further patios, which catch the sun throughout most of the day.
