LAPWING BARNS have recently been converted to a very high standard, being located on the South Western edge of the Peak District National Park, an ideal base from which to explore this area of the Park. Excellent walking exists in all directions from the doorstep, and there are some outstanding far-reaching views across the surrounding countryside. There are nearby caves and caverns to explore and The Roaches, with Hen Cloud and Ramshaw Rocks, form a gritstone escarpment, which marks the south-western edge of the Peak. The spa town of Buxton is close, by with its Opera House and theatre, and also the popular market town of Bakewell, in the heart of the Peak District, and Alton Towers is only a half hour drive away.
It is possible for up to 8 people to dine together in either property, should both be booked together. Ash Barn and Beech Barn are at the same location, and are fitted out in a similar contemporary style.
