Bowling Green Cottage Peak Forrest Sleeps in bedrooms

This spacious barn conversion is located towards the edge of the village in the High Peak, with views to the rear across open countryside, and good walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep.

The property is ideally located to explore this area of the Peak District National Park, with the opera house and theatre in Buxton, and also nearby are the Caves at Castleton and the historic village of Edale at the beginning of the Pennine Way.

You enter the barn from the long lawned garden into the entrance hall off which are all the main reception rooms.

To your left is the spacious lounge with beamed ceiling, wooden floors and a welcoming log burning stove inset in a stone fireplace.

At the opposite end of the hall is the well equipped beamed kitchen with calor gas coal effect stove inset in the full height brick fireplace, in addition to all the essential kitchen equipment.

The separate dining area runs off the kitchen, being accessed through glass double doors.

Also on the ground floor is a cloakroom with toilet and hand basin, acting as a part utility area.

The stairs lead to the three bedrooms, the main bedroom at the end of the landing has a 6’ double hand made carved oak bed (made by the owner who is a cabinet maker) with an en suite shower room, with shower cubicle, hand basin and toilet, and separate walk in wardrobe.

The second bedroom has a further double bed, the third bedroom being spacious, and ideal as a children’s room, with two single beds, plus two further slide out 2’ 6” wide single beds (which are slightly shorter in length).

Wooden floors exist in all the bedrooms with occasional rugs adding to their warmth.

The house bathroom has a bath with hand shower, toilet and hand basin.

The rear south facing garden area is accessed from double doors in the dining area, straight onto a decking sitting out area with lawns to the left and field views beyond.
