Located towards the edge of the village, this is an ideal base from which to explore the many attractions the North West area of the Peak District National Park has to offer. There is good walking from the doorstep to Chrome Hill, Parkhouse, Roundhill and the The Roaches, which is a little further away. The spa town of Buxton, with its opera and history, is just a short drive away. |

| The stone cottage, originally the village bakery, dates back to the 1700’s, is accessed from the cobbled courtyard and enjoys the afternoon and early evening sun. You enter the property into the cosy open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area that has flagged floors and a welcoming log burning stove. The narrow spiral staircase, to the rear, leads into the bedroom area on the first floor, it has a double bed, a vaulted beamed ceiling and wooden floors adding to its character. The bathroom, which also has beams, has a roll top bath with shower over, hand basin and toilet. A separate pathway at the side of the cottage leads to the second rear patio garden area with a summer house (utility and storage area) and views across neighbouring fields. |
