The Old Bakehouse Calver Sleeps in bedrooms

Recently restored this accommodation, dating back to 1360, provides high quality, character and good-sized accommodation.

Original beams feature throughout the accommodation, in addition the fabrics and furnishings have been carefully coordinated to reflect the properties full character.

This central location, in the heart of the Peak District National Park, is an ideal base from which to explore the area.

There is also an enjoyable walk by the banks of the River Derwent to Baslow and into the parklands of Chatsworth House, or take a short drive to the pretty and popular market town of Bakewell.

You enter the cottage into the welcoming and imposing dining hall which has a traditional Derbyshire open fire. A door to your left leads into the second sitting room where there is a separate staircase which leads to the first floor bedroom with a double bed that can be split into two singles on request, and its own en suite shower room with hand basin and toilet.

To your right, off the dining hall, is a ground floor cloakroom area, with toilet and hand basin,from where an inenr hall leads through to the kitchen. A door to the rear of the dining hall leads to your right through into the fully equipped kitchen/breakfast area that has everything you will require for your stay. There is a glazed roof and patio doors leading onto the flagged patio and garden area.

Off this room is a very spacious lounge with further log burning stove and double glazed doors opening on two elevations onto the patio and secured walled rear garden. There is also a separate utility room.

The stairs from the dining hall lead to the four first floor bedrooms, to your left, at the top of the stairs, are two bedrooms, the first has two single beds, the adjoining bedroom with a double bed. A further bedroom off the landing has two single beds, and the master bedroom to the rear, with garden views and beyond, has a further king size double bed and it own en suite bathroom with bath, hand basin and toilet.

The general bathroom has a bath with shower over, hand basin and toilet.

In the separate garage block, in the grounds of the house, there is a further first floor bedroom, in contemporary style with a double bed, which can also be split into two single beds on request, and an en suite shower room, with hand basin and toilet.

There is a private walled, and lawned, secure garden.
