Derwent View Darley Dale Sleeps 10 in 4 in bedrooms

This detached stone barn set on the owner’s non working farm has been converted to provide high quality well equipped cottage style accommodation.

Situated on a hillside location, the property and grounds enjoy stunning views across the Derwent valley.

Guests can access 3 acres of fields and there are many good countryside walks on the doorstep.

A short drive away is Rowsley, the gateway to the parklands of Chatsworth House, so is Haddon Hall and the pretty market town of Bakewell on the banks of the River Wye.

A short walk from the parking area leads to the main entrance of the barn where there are two flights of stairs off the good sized entrance hall, one going up seven steps, to the three main bedrooms and the other going down four steps to the main reception rooms.

Off the entrance hall to the right is the fourth bedroom that has two single beds, that can be linked together on request, and en suite shower room with toilet and hand basin.

The stairs to the first floor lead to the remaining bedrooms, to the left, at the end of the landing, is the main bedroom that has a double bed, a vaulted ceiling and valley views.

The general bathroom adjoins this bedroom and has a bath, separate shower cubicle, toilet and hand basin.

At the opposite end of the landing, and up two steps, are the two remaining bedrooms, the first to the right has two single beds which can be also be linked together on request, and features the original king post roof truss, which is also featured over the staircase from the bathroom wall.

At the end of the corridor and down two steps is the fourth bedroom that has a vaulted ceiling, a double bed and en suite shower room with toilet and hand basin.

From the main entrance hall and down the 4 steps, a door to the left leads through into the lounge that has double glazed doors that lead out onto the flagged patio and lawned area, which extends along the gable end of the property and enjoys extensive views.

Off the hall is the spacious kitchen/dining area, which features a single pitch ceiling, granite worktops, oak hand built units, breakfast area, and all the equipment you will require for your stay; it also has double doors that lead onto the same patio garden area.

There is also a cloakroom with toilet and hand basin and there are two folding beds available which can be put up in the bedrooms or elsewhere.

Please note bookings are Friday to Friday.
