The Teachers Cottage Wildboarclough, Nr. Buxton Sleeps 5 in 2 bedrooms

Located in the elevated and quiet rural hamlet of Forest Chapel, this is an ideal opportunity to visit this very picturesque part of the Peak National Park, with the nearby Goyt Valley, The Roaches and Shutlingsloe, which dominates the skyline of the area.

Enjoy a bit of history with the annual rush-bearing ceremony at the nearby Chapel.

Forget your car for a few days, there are many good walks, a heaven for dogs, many passing local hostelries, in all directions from the cottage.

You enter the house, formerly part of the school, into a flagged hall, ideal for muddy boots, which leads through into the good sized lounge and its welcoming open coal fire.

Off the flagged inner hall is the well equipped kitchen dining room, the original beamed ceiling and oak wall timbers gives this room plenty of charm.

On the ground floor is a small utility room with washing machine, dryer, airing cupboard and hand basin and toilet.

The original stairs, young children should be supervised, lead to the bedrooms, the main bedroom, which is very spacious, has three single beds, the second bedroom having a double bed.

The bathroom has a bath, hand basin and toilet.

There is a pleasant garden, which is mainly lawn, at the side of the cottage, which takes in the sun for most of the day and is fenced for the majority of the way round.
