Appletree Cottage Ashford in the Water Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms

This charming traditional, 300 year old, stone built cottage is located in the centre of this beautiful and popular village, within the heart of the Peak National Park.

A few minutes walk will take you to the nearby River Wye which runs by the village and beyond into the market town of Bakewell, and to the country houses of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.

You enter the tastefully renovated cottage, which has stone slate floors throughout the ground floor, into the small entrance hall.

To your right is the good sized, and very welcoming beamed lounge with a log burning stove within the original gritstone fireplace on an exposed stone wall.

A door to the rear leads to the light and airy, newly fitted, and fully equipped kitchen / dining area, with all the equipment you will require for your stay.

The stairs lead to the two bedrooms, the main bedroom, to the front of the cottage, has stone mullioned windows and a double bed. The second bedroom, to the rear, has a further double bed, and enjoys views across the garden.

The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, hand basin and toilet.

A door from the kitchen goes to the patio and slightly elevated lawned garden area, which is secure and enclosed by a traditional Derbyshire dry stone wall.

Please note bookings are Friday to Friday.
