Swallow's Loft Cromford, Nr Matlock Sleeps 7 in 3 bedrooms

Barn Owl Cottage and Swallow’s Loft are early 18th century barns, which have been converted to provide character accommodation, clustered around a courtyard area, in a peaceful rural location in the Derwent Valley.

To the rear of the barns is the original 'ice house' which used to serve Willersley Castle, the ancestral home of Sir Richard Arkwright’s family.

You can enjoy easy access to various tourist attractions, particularly in nearby Matlock Bath, Bakewell, Carsington Water or visit the country houses of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.

From the doorstep a short walk will take you to nearby Willersley Castle or alternatively to the River Derwent and nearby to the original Arkwright Mills which have been converted into craft shops, cafes, restaurants and factory shops.

It is possible for up to 10 people to dine together in Swallows Loft.

You enter Swallows Loft into the farmhouse style kitchen/dining area, with stone flagged floor, and is fully equipped with all the essential you will require for your stay.

Off this room is the beamed lounge with gas coal effect fire and double doors which lead out into a private walled sitting out area.

The stairs lead to the bedrooms, the main bedroom with an imposing four poster 5’double bed and vaulted beam ceiling and its own en suite shower room with shower, hand basin and toilet.

The second bedroom has a further double bed and 2’6” bed, more suitable for a child, the remaining bedroom has two single beds.
