Experience the local wildlife from your own doorstep, in addition to the owner’s animals, horses, Highland cattle, alpacas and sheep.

This rural location is an ideal base from which to explore this area of the Peak National Park with some excellent walking from the doorstep and in nearby Edale at the beginning of the Pennine Way. You can visit the mines at Castleton, or take in the culture of Buxton with the theatre, opera house and various other attractions.

It is possible for up to 12 people to dine together in Top Tack Cottage.

The cottage has been tastefully renovated to provide character accommodation, the main bedroom being on the ground floor and has a double bed, the stone floor, occasional rugs and oak beams giving this room great charm and style.

There is an en-suite bathroom, with shower cubicle, hand basin and toilet.

A small flight of stairs takes you to the first floor with a good sized, open plan, and well equipped kitchen/dining/lounge area with a wood burning stove and a vaulted ceiling adding to its charm.

In addition there is a large glazed panel and a door leading to an external dry stone walled patio garden and sitting out area, which takes in the afternoon and early evening sun.
