Bluebell Cottage Matlock Bath Sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms

This mid terraced stone built Arkwright cottage dates back over 200 years and nestles into the hillside close to the historic Masson Mill.

The cottage is very close to the beautiful River Derwent running through Matlock Bath, which is famous for its early autumn ‘Venetian Nights’ when illuminated gondolas sail down the river.

Walks into open country exist by way of the stone footpath which climbs the hillside on which the cottage is located.

You enter the cottage into the welcoming warm and cosy beamed kitchen/dining room which has all the equipment you will require for your stay.

A door leads through into the beamed lounge with a log burning stove inset into the gritstone fireplace, a further door leads out onto the hillside footpath.

The winding stairs from the kitchen lead to the two first floor bedrooms, be careful as you go up and down, the larger bedroom having two single beds the second bedroom having adult size bunk beds.

The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, hand basin and toilet.

A second flight of winding stairs, again be careful and also mind your head, take you to the eaves of the house and the main bedroom with a double bed, the sloping ceilings adding to its character.

The separate adjoining bathroom has a bath, hand basin and toilet.

To the front of the cottage up a few stone steps is a small and level lawned cottage garden with a patio area, taking in some splendid views of the valley and beyond.

Ample car parking has been arranged with The New Bath Hotel, which is close by.
