| You enter the spacious period accommodation, which is on two levels, from the side of the cottage, and off the small entrance hall is the downstairs shower room, with shower cubicle, hand basin and toilet. The hall leads through into the good-sized beamed-ceiling farmhouse kitchen/dining area, which has all the essential equipment you will require. A spiral staircase leads to the first floor into a large 16th century beamed-ceiling lounge, with an imposing Tudor fireplace with open coal/log fire and period oak furniture adding considerably to the charm and atmosphere of the room. A single step down and then up into a small hall, off which is the bathroom with bath and shower over, hand basin and toilet. Off this inner hall is the bedroom, with oak stud wall, and twin beds. The bedroom has magnificent views across the mature gardens and beyond. The gardens are open during June and July for private visits under the National Garden Scheme and for the general public on three consecutive Sundays in July. We hope you will enjoy the cottage and gardens which reflect sympathetically the history of the property. |
