Candlelight Cottage Litton Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms

This character cottage,located in the pretty village of Litton with its wide grass verges and greens dates back some 200 years. Renovated to a very high standard, the cottage is an ideal central base from which to explore both the White and Dark Peaks.

The dramatic scenery of Monsal and Millers Dale, the Pennine Way at Edale, and the caves of Castleton are all close by.

The market towns of Bakewell and Buxton are also only a short drive away.

You enter the cottage through a porch into the spacious and comfortable lounge with beamed ceiling and welcoming natural coal effect gas stove, inset in a gritstone fireplace.

A door to the rear takes you to the extremely well equipped kitchen dining room, a feature of which is the gas fired AGA – a door takes you down to the utility room.

Stairs from the kitchen, lead to the bedrooms. The south facing bedroom to the rear has a double bed and looks out over the patio and fields beyond.

The luxury bathroom features a roll top bath with shower over, hand basin, bidet and toilet.

A corridor takes you to the twin bedded room at the front of the cottage, which enjoys views cross the village greens.

A stable door from the kitchen leads out into the enclosed patio style garden which can also be accessed via a gate to the rear of the cottage.

Please be aware that, as in many other old properties, Candlelight Cottage has relatively steep stairs and some low beams, so please be careful.

Please note this property is not suitable for children under the age of 8 years.
