Christmas Cottage Clifton, Nr Ashbourne Sleeps 2 in 1 bedrooms

Clifton is a pretty, peaceful village at the gateway into the Peak District National Park, with easy access to the Tissington Cycle Trail, Alton Towers, Dovedale and Carsington Water.

There are riverside walks and a children’s play area also close by, and an enjoyable walk will take you into the market town of Ashbourne with some excellent shops and facilities.

This three storey cottage, which has been tastefully decorated in a contemporary style, dates back over 150 years and is in the heart of the village.

It is accessed from a small front garden which enjoys the sun throughout most of the day, as do most of the rooms.

You enter from a small porch into the dining room with its large feature fireplace and original tiled floor adding to its charm and character, to the rear is the galley style kitchen with all the essentials you will require for your stay.

The original winding stairs (be careful as you go up both flights), lead to the first floor with the light cosy lounge to the front, also on this floor is separate cloakroom with toilet and hand basin.

The second flight of stairs lead to the splendid spacious bedroom, it has a vaulted painted beamed ceiling, a double bed and its own en suite bathroom with bath, with shower over, hand basin and toilet.

There is a sitting out area to the front of the cottage.
