Mountain Cottage and Annexe Middleton Top Sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms

Mountain Cottage, once the home of D H Lawrence, is located in a truly idyllic elevated position, quote “It is in the darkish Midlands, on the rim of a steep deep valley, looking over darkish, folded hills – exactly the navel of England and feels exactly that. “ (D.H. Lawrence , April 1918.)

Detached and in its own grounds of 13 acres, Mountain Cottage is set high up on the valley side with far reaching views down the Via Gellia in both directions and to Matlock and beyond with very few properties to see on the skyline.

Set in mature woodlands with good local walks, with much of the grounds being to rough meadow grass and available for use by guests, an ideal paradise for children to explore.

Mountain Cottage and Mountain Annexe are at the same location, it is possible for the Cottage to be booked separately at a reduced price, but not the Annexe.

It is possible for up to 8 to dine together in Mountain Cottage

MOUNTAIN COTTAGE.
