Allmore Cottage Gratton, Nr Leek Sleeps 2 in 1 bedrooms

This recently converted detached barn, all on one level and set in 14 acres, is hidden away on the south west edge of one of England’s most spectacular National Parks, and is an ideal base from which to explore this area with its undulating and rolling countryside.

There are many nearby attractions, the popular Churnet Valley with its steam railway and network of canals, the reservoirs at Tittesworth and Rudyard Lake, the gardens at Biddulph Grange and Consall Hall, along with many National Trust properties within easy reach, and the nearby Potteries.

Access is down a quiet country lane in a delightful rural position with far reaching views, there is a drive between the two private fishing ponds, one for coarse the other for trout that are available for use by guests to the property.

The accommodation, which is a good size throughout, is entered into the entrance hall, there is a single step to the hallway off which are all the reception rooms.

Oak floors, exposed beams and coordinated contemporary style furnishings add to the welcoming warmth and character.

To the right is the good sized bedroom with a king size bed and its own en suite bathroom with a whirlpool bath, toilet, hand basin and separate shower cubicle.

The door at the end of the corridor leads into the open plan dining/kitchen/lounge area that has a vaulted beamed ceiling, the kitchen is fully equipped and the lounge has a welcoming log burning stove.

A door to the rear leads to a private patio area where you can relax in an idyllic situation and take in the views across the surrounding countryside, or stroll through the 14 acres where the ponds and stream offer an abundance of local wildlife.
