Lamp Cottage Holloway, Nr Matlock Sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms

Lamp Cottage is an immaculate stone detached property set in parkland where sheep and deer roam for most of the year and is located in the grounds of the historic Leahurst Estate, the former summer residence of Florence Nightingale and her family.

The House is approached down a private driveway through a meadow and a gate leading to a gravelled parking area.

A large oak porch leads into this delightful accommodation where furnishings and fittings are of the highest of quality and spectacular unspoiled south west facing views across the Amber Valley makes this the most unique of properties.

The property, which has under-floor heating on the ground floor, is entered into the large entrance hall off which are the main reception rooms.

To the rear of the hall, through double glazed doors, is the fully equipped kitchen that has granite worktops, an American style fridge freezer, double oven, coffee machine, Bose ipod dock and sound system.

The kitchen itself is open to the south facing conservatory style dining area that has some occasional seating and fold back glazed doors opening its entire façade onto large wrap around Patio’s, creating a seamless step from inside to out.

A large teak table and chairs, a custom steel barbeque and a well stocked herb garden cater for any outside dining requirements, in addition to sun lounges, fire heaters, spacious lawns and stunning views.

Off the hall, also to the rear, is the lounge, again with comfortable sofa seating and it has a welcoming wall mounted log burning fire, and there are further double doors which open onto the patio and lawned gardens.

There is also a second sitting/study room that has board games and a seating area, also off the hallway is a cloakroom with toilet and hand basin.

The stairs lead to the gallery landing area, off which are all the bedrooms that have luxury beds and the finest bed linen.

The master bedroom suite, at the end of the landing, takes in the outstanding views of the area and has a super king size double bed and its own en suite steam/shower room.

The second bedroom has a further double bed and its own en-suite wet room and the third and fourth bedrooms each have two single beds, one of which can be joined together to make a super king size bed.

The good sized general bathroom is fully tiled and has a double ended oval bath, separate shower cubicle, toilet and hand basin.

Gardens and meadowland surround the property and there are also footpaths close by.
