This detached stone cottage has been sympathetically converted in recent years in a contemporary style and is located in the owner’s grounds in a delightful rural hamlet which enjoys some far reaching views, from the location, across the surrounding countryside. It is ideally positioned near to Baslow at the edge of the Chatsworth estate, and a short drive away is Bakewell, which is in the heart of the Peak District National Park. |
| Entry to the cottage is from the stone cobbled courtyard into the open plan lounge, which has a welcoming log burning stove, dining and kitchen area that is fully equipped with all the essentials required for the stay. Off the kitchen is a study/work area that has an easy chair and a feature window/glazed door overlooking the cobbled courtyard. The stairs lead to the two bedrooms, and both are a good size, the main bedroom has feature beams and a king size double bed, the second bedroom, at the opposite end of the landing, has two single beds and further exposed beams. The shower room has a shower cubicle with electric shower, toilet and hand basin. Visitors can enjoy the use of the owner’s spacious grounds, as advised on arrival, from where walks can be enjoyed around the immediate locality. There are two sitting out areas close to the cottage, one of which is passed a large fishing pond, to an area which enjoys the true panorama of the surrounding countryside. |
