Holiday cottages to rent in Chapel en le Frith

The town’s unusual name means ‘chapel in the forest’ as the settlement grew around the church which was erected here by foresters from the Royal Forest of the Peak in 1225. Parts of the old village survive around the church and the cobbled market square (complete with old market cross, town stocks and war memorial). With a supermarket, restaurants and other amenities of a small town, plus a station on the Buxton to Manchester line, this is a popular choice with tourers. The nearby town of Whaley Bridge is also worth a visit and makes for a nice day trip out.

This part of Derbyshire is a lovely relaxing spot for a holiday and can be fully explored from our Chapel en le Frith holiday cottages. Browse our range today and start planning a wonderful holiday in the Peak District.
