Nestled in 26 acres of picturesque gardens and formal woodlands within the grounds of a 500 year old hotel on the edge of the Peak District, this cottage is also ideally located for exploring the popular destinations of York, the Yorkshire Dales and the cosmopolitan cities of Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield. A short drive away from the cottage is the market town of Holmfirth with its quaint shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a wealth of National Trust properties including Nostell Priory, Hardcastle Crags, and Lyme Park to name a few. There are many walks, treks and trails to enjoy right from the properties doorstep or head out over to the moorland where there are more.
With views across the estate, the cottage provides peaceful and relaxing holiday accommodation. One of two charming cottages, the lounge has an open fire, perfect for cosying up in front of after a busy day exploring and the well equipped kitchen has all the essentials for creating a memorable meal which can be enjoyed in the dining room. Upstairs are three bedrooms reached via steep cottage style stairs and a bathroom with a bath, WC and separate shower cubicle. Two of the bedrooms have a double bed each and the third bedroom has two single beds.
Benefitting from an enclosed garden, there is garden furniture and a BBQ if you wish to cook up an al fresco feat. Guests are also welcome to explore the rest of the grounds of the hotel.
