The property is one of two cottages at this location being located in the owners’ grounds in this picturesque area. You can enjoy some far reaching views from the location across the fairways of the adjoining golf club and beyond to Riber Castle which sits prominently on the hillside overlooking Matlock Bath. There are many attractions for all the family to experience during your visit including the splendours of historic houses such as Hardwick and Haddon Hall or the simple enjoyment of the parklands in which Chatsworth House nestles. The property which is on three levels is entered from the courtyard through the splendid glazed arch which features on two floor levels to the eaves of the building.
You enter the barn into the very spacious lounge with beams and a welcoming log burning stove. A door to the rear takes you out onto the lawned garden. French doors from the lounge lead through to the good sized dining room with a warm feeling wooden floor off which is the well equipped and fitted kitchen that has everything you will require for your stay. The stairs from the lounge lead to the first floor and the two main bedrooms. One bedroom is spacious and has a double bed with its own en-suite shower room with shower hand basin and toilet the second bedroom having two single beds. The main bathroom on this floor has a bath with shower over hand basin and toilet. A further flight of stairs leads to the eaves and the third bedroom. It has exposed beams and king post trusses with two single beds and runs the full width of the cottage this being ideal for children. There is a patio available within the courtyard area for guests.
This cottage is one of two cottages at the same location which can be booked together to sleep 12 people, it is possible for 12 people to dine together in either of the barns - the other is The Hayloft - Matlock.
