Full of character, this charming three bedroom barn conversion in the Hope Valley enjoys beautiful wooden beams and stone flagged floors. It provides the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding area.

Discover the Peak District National Park from the vantage point of this charming, converted barn sited within the Hope Valley. Centrally located with nature’s playground on your doorstep, this rural retreat is ideal for families and groups of friends reconnecting over exciting walks and hearty pub lunches. A 0.5-mile drive will bring you into the centre of Hope, a pretty village with a fascinating history and plenty of spots to grab a bite to eat.

Packed with character, the property sleeps six and has many period features including beams, stone-flagged floors and vaulted ceilings. A fine example of open-plan living, there are sofas and an impressive Yorkshire range fireplace for relaxing evenings, and a handy table that’s perfect for family dining. Pleasantly presented, the first-floor bedrooms are comfortable and inviting with a variety of sleeping arrangements to suit your group. There is a generous bathroom for soothing tired limbs, and outside, you’ll have access to the shared orchard garden and grounds.

Picturesque and peaceful, the ancient village of Hope has much to offer in the way of history, having been mentioned in the Domesday Book. Lovely peaceful cottage, beautiful setting and thoughtfully looked after. Worked well for four of us with two dogs. Friendly owners with friendly dogs are on hand close by if needed. Lovely 20 mins walk along a green lane into Hope village for breakfast. Perfectly positioned for visiting Castleton, the skyline and Derwent Valley.

The cottage is in a lovely location with really friendly helpful owners next door. It's great you can bring dogs to stay but we did feel that you could tell it was a dog friendly cottage - not the cleanest downstairs and the sofas etc felt a bit grubby. With the very wet weather, it was hard to keep the dogs clean and there was nowhere they could bRead moree kept outside of the main living space. So I'm sure our dogs added to the overall smells! Upstairs was lovely and clean with a fabulous shower! Hide

Lovely cottage. The open plan living area worked well when the grandchildren stayed for part of our stay. The kitchen was well equipped. Great walks without having to get in the car and a 20 minute walk to get to a pub.
