Enjoying an elevated rural location this detached barn nestles high up on Combs Edge. Far reaching views can be enjoyed from the location and there are good walks with the Midshires Way being nearby.

Accessed down an unmade farm track you arrive at the accommodation which has been fully renovated and is just across from the owners property. A single flight of stairs takes you to the first floor where it is evident this is a quality conversion with oak floors and doors throughout. Under floor heating exposed beams and carefully coordinated furnishings adding to its charm.

To your left you enter the spacious lounge/dining room with views across the countryside. There are high ceilings exposed beams and a welcoming woodburner inset in a stone fireplace. The separate kitchen to the rear is fully equipped with all the essentials you require for your stay. The main bedroom has a double bed and is a good size with further high ceilings. It benefits from two en suite bathroom areas the main bathroom has a bath hand basin and toilet the second is a dedicated shower room with a power shower and shower cubicle. There is a separate utility area available by arrangement with the owner which may be suitable for occasional storage. There is patio area for guests from where the views can be enjoyed.

We had a super week . Owners friendly and caring. Our Mazda 2 had no difficulties on the farm track. Comfy bed and fabulous big squidgy sofa, amazing cooker that I would never afford to buy. Everything genuine, real wood floor, real stone fireplace with fantastic framed mirror above - no plastic here ! Interesting decor and pictures, useful maps anRead mored walk leaflets. This is an absolutely delightful cottage, off the beaten track, that ensures you have the most fantastic experience. The cottage was immaculately presented and a credit to its owner. Absolutely everything you need to self cater was provided. We enjoyed four nights in front of the log burner having a well needed break. Close by is Chapel en le FrithRead more and Buxton and some fabulous walking away from the more popular spots in Derbyshire. Would 100% recommend to couples wanting a quiet break. Hide

We had an amazing week. The barn is perfect, really warm and cosy. Has everything you need. Perfect location for lots of good walks. Owner was really helpful. We would definitely go back again.

We had a lovely time here. The barn was comfortable and warm and the location was perfect - quiet, remote, surrounded by countryside but near enough to easily walk to the village. An ideal base for a car-free holiday with Buxton and Chapel-en-le-frith within easy walking distance (3-4 miles). Lots of footpaths giving a wide variety of options for eRead moreasy or more strenuous walking although the barn is on a hillside. Would definitely recommend for getting away from it all. Hide

Absolutely fabulous barn in a secluded area. Really comfortable bed and a fabulous shower. Many walks directly from the property and many more within a short driving distance. Brilliant location for touring the Peak District. You do need to travel narrow lanes and there is a farm track from the road to the property. These caused us no problems. WilRead morel definitely return and would recommend to anyone looking for a property away from the hussle and bustle of towns and cities. Hide

Isolated but very close to farm house. Despite this very quiet except for odd farm vehicle and sheep. No low slung cars. We have a saloon car and only just coped. Amazing views and plenty of walks. The best shower we have ever had in rented accommodation. Hosts friendly but not intrusive. We enjoyed staying in this rural location. The property had everything we needed & the owners were very helpful. Lots of different walks available from the property including to the nearest pub which took around 30 minutes. Probably best walked during day light though! Very accurate description of the property. Really lovely area.
