My girlfriend and I stayed in the Old Masson Barn for three nights until yesterday. We enjoyed everything there. The cottage is equiped with everything you need to relax in the peak district. We loved our stay here at this great cottage which was beautifully clean and equipped with everything you need to properly self-cater. One thing to be aware of; it is up a very steep hill so the short walk into town is a rather tiring one back!! Worth it for the peace and lovely views (including great sunsets). Hosts are great too.

A beautiful cottage with beautiful views that can really be enjoyed when sat outside the front of the property. An interesting approach to the property! Watch out for the cows and the cow pats! Great base for Matlock and the surrounding Peak District.

A very well appointed cottage with stunning views across the Derbyshire countryside. Extremely comfortable bed. The location was ideal for us as we were visiting family in Cromford. Also ideal for visits to places such as Bakewell and Chatsworth. Would certainly consider a return in the future.

It was in a lovely place with lovely views and a good centre for getting places. Amenities nearby, shame the restaurant we wanted to go was closed on Monday. With reference to recommending it to a friend as a lot of our friends are around our age, I am unsure about this

Highly recommend for a restful and peaceful break with amazing views of Matlock. Easy walking nearby depending on preferences. The cottage itself does not lack any facilities and is a very comfortable home from home. We felt very welcome. Would love to go back in summer and spend more time enjoying it and the surrounding area.
