Nice cottage. Local pub had a nice atmosphere. Landlady let us park in their carpark. If your dogs get muddy they will have to stay downstairs as the carpets are cream. Heated up quickly. Stairs very steep which some people may find difficult to climb but that's often the case in these little cottages.

Thank you for a comfortable stay at Christmas Cottage. The location was perfect for exploring and the cottage was quaint & cosy. The little touches such as wine and biscuits were most thoughtful and Charlotte recommended the Horseshoes for a meal which was fabulous. Bonus of our stay...after 10yrs we got engaged!

A lovely cottage in a good location. Ashbourne town centre is very nice, and only a few minutes in the car. Tissington trail, Carsington Water, and the local Ashbourne Park, were good places to take our dog. We would recommend staying in this lovely cottage.

Not suitable for 3 dogs due to cream carpets up 2 flights of stairs and 2nd floor lounge. Nothing available to wash a dog if they get muddy and so this is not an option. If you stay on ground floor as we did - there is no TV which should at least be an available you have been out walking all day !

Nice old cosy cottage. Lovely location in the Derbyshire Dales. Had a great week, there are walks locally and areas to explore not far away. The adjacent pub, Cock Inn does not do food, and is a little tired. The Royal Oak in Mayfield, about 25 minutes walk away was good and excellent for food.
