We had a lovely few nights at the cottage. Owners were welcoming and happy to show us the farm animals which the children loved. The cottage was perfect in size, and well maintained. Local pup was perfect for evening meals. Thank you for our stay, we will most definitely like to return.

Fabulous location, very well equipped and warm. Loved the view and being straight on to the path to some stunning walks, and yet very close to the village centre. Parking next to the cottage also a big plus. Do hope to return.

A very cosy little cottage in one of our favourite places to visit. Beautiful views and ideally located for accessing the village and local walks, one of which is right outside the back gate, perfect! The cottage was clean and we had all that we needed. The seating area was rather small for four adults but cosy and worked fine for us. Perfect that Read moreits dog friendly. We hope to visit again. An excellent location which is a great selling point of the cottage. The centre of the town is literally five minutes away and there are so many great outdoor locations well within a 30 min car journey. Very clean and two very useful wet rooms, also a basic but utilitarian kitchen. Being able to park the car in a secure area is a bonus. The downsidRead moree could be it would be tight to have four adults there especially when the weather turns bad. Hide

The Old Washhouse is a wonderfull small cottage. Completely privat but the owners are next door if you need them. Hiking starts at the backdoor and there are beautiful walks in the neighbourhood. We enjoyed the cows that came to graze on the lawn every day. Well fenced garden/terrace, ideal for our dog who could roam freely. Definitely recommended!

A delightful cottage in terms of decor, equipment and setting. I couldnt fault anything! In fact it was better than the online description. There was even a dishwasher and the kitchen had everything you could wish for whilst on holiday. The underfloor heating was very efficient and kept the whole cottage comfortably cosy.

A delightful cottage with excellent facilities. The cottage has its own private gate onto the Dales where access to not only the Dales, but to the village of Hartington including the Farm Shop and Charles Cotton pub all within a few minutes walk. We stayed for a week and the car was not used, as there were several walks (5-6 miles) from the cottagRead moree. In addition we used buses if we wished to venture further, to either return to the cottage or start and then walk back. Hide

The cottage is a lovely conversion: it retains some of the old stone but also has contemporary features - two wet rooms and a contemporary kitchen diner. The location is unbeatable: a public path through pasture is a few steps from the cottage, and you can watch sheep and lambs out the window. In the evenings we loved walking our dog through MorsonRead more Wood and on to the river. The cottage is small but the high roof helps. Not much fridge/freezer space, and weak showers, but we would still return. Hide
