Right in the heart of the Peak District National Park, this charming cottage is situated in a historical village surrounded by spectacular landscape. Sleeping six guests over three bedrooms, this home is well located for explorations of the crests and valleys of the Peak District.

Underfloor heating throughout this home ensures a warm welcome, whatever the weather. The pretty home has exposed beams, a stone fireplace and vaulted ceilings, giving off a characterful countryside feel. The master bedroom has spectacular views over the village of Eyam and Eyam Edge, and all three bedrooms boast en-suites - fantastic for groups of couples visiting the Peak District together. To the rear of the home is a lovely, sheltered courtyard with a BBQ and table and chairs for al fresco dining.

Eyam village has a rich history made famous during the plague of 1655 for its voluntary quarantine. There is a pub and a shop just 200 yards from the door of the property, so you’ll be well placed to pick up essentials after a busy day. The beautiful and scenic Eyam Moor sits just above the village. It’s a plateau-topped hill with fantastic views and some great walking and cycling routes. Discover the stone circle hiding amongst the heather and tall grasses, and a damaged cairn dating back to the Bronze Age - both are worth hunting out. The wider area itself known as Derwent Valley is scattered with lakes, fells, rivers and old cotton mills. Everyone will find something to suit their ideal adventure, whether it’s on foot, wheel or paddle.

Lovely barn conversation in a beautiful village. Ideal location for all local amenities. Everything we needed was there, a real home from home. The cottage was really clean, with all the cooking equipment you could wish for. The dishwasher proved very helpful especially with enough tablets for the week. The heating was excellent and there was always hot water. Each ensuite was well designed with good use of space, thoughtful shelving, quality towels. The beds were comfortable and huge. TheRead more proximity of the pub (excellent food and service) and the shop (get to know the opening hours) made up any lack of a view. Simply excellent. Hide
