The central village location of this cottage makes it ideal for those seeking a countryside-village retreat. The popular village of Baslow has exceptional amenities, from award winning restaurants to quaint little shops. Just a short walk across a bridge and guests will find themselves in the expansive parklands of Chatsworth House. Alternatively, guests can take a gentle stroll along the banks of the River Derwent before heading to the Devonshire Arms for a spot of lunch.

This three bedroom cottage is filled with charm and character throughout. Spread across three floors, the exposed beams of the property provide a lovely sense of space and warmth. Downstairs the dining room boasts a gritstone fireplace and an open archway which leads through to the galley kitchen and all the essentials for attempting a Michelin style meal. The sitting room is at the rear of the cottage with a wood burner providing a central feature to the room.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms; one double bed and one with a single bed. The main bathroom is also located on this floor and consists of a bath with electric shower-over, toilet and hand basin. Upstairs the spacious main bedroom extends into the eaves of the cottage, with an en-suite bathroom and king size bed. The bright bedroom has Velux windows that offer lovely views over Chatsworth Park.

Outside there is a rear yard shared by neighbouring cottages with patio seating, there is a bench at the front of the cottage which is a lovely spot for watching the world go by.

The cottage was lovely and perfect for our trip. Close by to good hiking roots, local amenities, and Chatsworth House, whose grounds can be accessed from a path right next to the cottage. The owner, David, was also very kind and helpful. An all round great stay!

Excellent location and lovely, cosy cottage. We had lots of super walks right from the cottage door, some great pub meals and the Co-op was also really handy.

Lovely cottage in excellent location. Everywhere was very clean and beds/linen were comfortable and clean. It was ideal for our group and in a very good location for walking and a bus route very close by to save using the car. We had good food at The Prince of Wales and at Charlies which are approx 10 minutes walk away. Baslow Cottage is a traditional cottage close to Chatsworth Park and in a lovely village with lots of places to eat. 5 minutes by car to the wonderful Chatsworth farm shop. We were pleased to be near to a very good bus route and used public transport to get to Bakewell, the Monsal trail, and Buxton. Baslow Cottage is a delightful homely cottage in a beautiful setting. The cottage was very clean and tidy, and easy to walk around. The beds are very comfortable, ideal after a day walking in the Peaks. The owners are very friendly and helpful with instructions on how to travel to the cottage. We had a lovely stay at the cottage for a long weekend. The owners were very helpful providing clear instructions about access and relevant information. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed (including a kind gift of milk and biscuits!). Thank you very much.

Baslow cottage was amazing so clean it was spotless. Well done! It is in a prime position for all of Baslows amenities and so easy to find. Chatsworth gave us some fabulous walks, it was freezing fog one day and we had the treat of being above the fog at the tower in Chatsworth which we as frequent hikers had never experienced before. Fabulous little cottage, comfortable and well equipped. Perfect location for exploring the Chatsworth Estate. The owner provided detailed directions and instructions for access prior to our visit and let us know when the cottage was ready for us on the day. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore this part of the Peak District.

Beautifully presented old cottage with includes all the modern ammenities. Lots of space and parking very easy. Lots of gorgeous local works. Fantastic cottage in a prime location. We stayed for a week as a family of four with two teenagers. We were able to have numerous day trips all within a 30min drive. Three pubs, a cafe and an Italian restaurant all in the village along with a village shop and post office. A short walk and you are within the magical parkland of Chatsworth. The ground floor was cold even on hot days. However, it was in a good location and we had a wonderful holiday in an area we don't know hardly at all. It was great to be able to walk to pubs and restaurants without using the car.

The location of the cottage is brilliant and easy to get to places of interest. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The owners were really helpful and easy to contact.
