Great location for visiting the Peak District, and we would definitely return to Ashford-in-the-water. Little Cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed, we enjoyed the views and proximity to the play park and pubs/restaurants.

Comfortable cottage in a beautiful village. Ideal central location for exploring the Peak District, either on foot, by car, or even using the reliable Buxton-Matlock bus service that passes through the village. Easy walking to Bakewell, Monsal Head, etc, short drives to Castleton/Hope Valley, Eyam, etc , and slightly further afield to the StaffordsRead morehire Peaks, Ashbourne, Dove Valley, etc. Great pub (The Bull's Head - book in advance for an evening table!) and helpful village shop. We enjoyed our stay at Little Cottage very much. The small enclosed garden was ideal for a glass of wine in the evening sun and our dog had enough space to explore. The location in Ashford in the Warer is ideal and looks out over the local playing fields as well as being 2 mins from the pub and local shop.

Beautiful little cottage, great location for sight seeing the Peak District. Pat the owner and her friend and neighbour Jill were lovely, helpful and friendly. The local pub, was great, selling tasty meals and sandwiches etc, and of course good beer! Beautiful village, loved sitting by the river feeding the ducks
