This lodge is nestled in a special spot, the views have to be seen to be believed. Perfect romantic retreat with a wood burner for those chillier evenings. One bedroom, open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining.

Whether you would like to try wind surfing on Carsington Water or a less energetic stroll through historic Ashbourne, you will be centrally located for many attractions. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Heights of Abraham, Tissington & Monsal Trail and Alton Towers are within easy reach. The views over Carsington Water are beautiful, yet only three miles from Ashbourne town centre. From the farm, there are walking, cycle routes and bridleways meaning you can explore the area without getting in to your car. On an early evening, you can walk to the local village pub which serves great food and Kniveton produced cider.

Stepping into the cosy open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. The first thing you notice are the large windows that act as a picture frame to the surrounding rolling countryside. The focal point of the room is a cosy wood burner which is perfect for those romantic nights in snuggled up in front of the fire on the comfy sofa. The area also presents a Smart TV/DVD and extendable dining table if you decide to do a spot of cooking. The compact kitchen area offers an electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher and fridge. At the end of the lodge is the double bedroom with built-in wardrobes and a comfy bed you wont want to leave. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious with electric shower over the bath WC and heated towel rail. In a separate Annex, there is an Exercise and Relaxation Room, with full height glazing looking over the surrounding countryside. This is a great space for yoga, mindfulness exercises, relaxation or bodyweight exercises.

The outside of the lodge really makes this something special, there is a decked area to the front of the lodge to sit, relax and lose your thoughts over the sublime views. If you love animals, the outside space is perfect to relax and watch the sheep, Belted Galloway cows and Shire horses graze the pastures and meadows around the farm whilst soaking up the peaceful tranquillity. The rear of the lodge also offers a private patio area with seating and BBQ. There is ample parking around the lodge.

We really enjoyed our time at Ewe Lodge, Craig is a fabulous host and we'll be back again . The views are outstanding and so peaceful . We found the lod, easy to get to ( in our opinion ). Comfy cosy lodge with the most amazing viewsgreat location in Derbyshire. On a working farm so expect to see sheep close up. Owners have thought of everything thats needed for a holiday and fresh eggs on our arrival.

We had a lovely time at Ewe Lodge , such a relaxing place to stay , the Veiw was absolutely gorgeous we got up early a few mornings just to see the sunrise. The lodge had everything you needed very cosy. We would definitely recommend Ewe Lodge and will hopefully be returning

Perfect lodge in a lovely location. The sunrise was amazing to see. Lots of walks on the doorstep. Pub in easy walking distance which was so quirky. Ashbourne has lots to offer too.

Superb location. Well equipped and comfortable. The pictures make the accommodation look bigger than it is but it is more than satisfactory for two people and we'd recommend it to anyone thinking of booking it.

A lovely gem of a cottage that we cant recommend enough. Spotless, comfortable and roomy its located in a position affording wonderful views of the surrounding area and of the various animals grazing in the fields. The cottage is approximately 2 miles along a single track road but its not a problem getting there even with sheep and chickens roamingRead more about! Ewe Lodge has everything you need for a self catering holiday. Milk in the fridge on arrival, tea and coffee available. Plenty of cleaning products . The view is to die for. Lots of outdoor seating options and I loved the fitness annex where I did my yoga practice. The location is very remote but this did not detract from the experience. Brilliant cosy place in a great location on a working farm. Views are stunning and you are completely self contained and private but the owners are on hand if you need anything. They are very accommodating and even provided us with a field to exercise our dog!

Dog friendly although we kept ours on a lead as he does not always come back immediately. - very convenient to visit the surrounding area. Owners unobtrusive but available if needed. We spent a very comfortable week at Ewe Lodge, it was warm and cosy and everything worked as it should. We loved the peaceful location and the view was superb. The eggs from the farm and the local milk on our arrival was very much appreciated. We would recommend to others and hope to return.

We had a fabulous weekend at Ewe Lodge. Couldn't ask for a better location. Lovely and peaceful with the most fantastic views. The lodge is comfortable and well equipped. The newborn lambs in the field directly outside the decking were adorable. Definitely going to go back.

What a beautiful setting. The view as we pulled into the parking space was jaw dropping. Ewe Lodge is a a warm, comfortable and well equipped home from home. The tea, coffee, (fresh farm) milk and eggs provided on arrival was a welcoming touch. The annex was perfect to sit in and admire the views in the warm. Lots of walks and rides nearby.
