Its close proximity to Chesterfield means you’re never far from an array of amenities, as well as an array of stately homes such as Hardwick Hall and Stainsby Mill. The infamous Chatsworth House and Gardens are also on the doorstep of this property, boasting a long list of films that have been set there alongside an illustrious history, beautiful gardens and a fantastic farm shop. Bakewell is close by, offering all of the picturesque perks of a Peak village, plus the renowned Bakewell Pudding Shop, and you’re surrounded by footpaths and cycleways from which to really explore the stunning national park.
As you enter the cottage, its charm and character are immediately apparent in the welcoming country kitchen/diner. Ensuring you have everything you may need during your stay, the kitchen comprises of a combo microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The focal point of this lovely space is certainly its beautiful Aga, which works fully. In the dining area, the farmhouse style table is perfect for enjoying a meal at any time of day, soaking up the idyllic surroundings in which the cottage is situated. Stepping down a few steps into the lounge, it is yet another room that combines charm and style. The wood burner is ideal for keeping warm in the colder months, and there are comfortable soft furnishings to relax on and a large flat screen TV to watch after a long day exploring. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one king-size with an en-suite shower and WC, and one with a king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made into twin singles on request) with an en-suite bathroom with slipper bath, enclosed shower and WC.
The outside space of the cottage features a patio, seating and built-in BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining in the summer.
