Besom Cottage is a delightful place to stay. The location is quiet and yet not far from the main road. It is very spacious and comfortable and well decorated. The layout works really well with the large kitchen diner and steps down to the lounge. The cooking facilities are good including an Aga and microwave/oven combination. We only used one bedrRead moreoom which had beautiful views. The bed was very comfortable. Both bedrooms are large with good ensuite bathrooms. There is a lovely garden to sit in and relax. The owner kindly supplied delicious eggs from their chickens Overall it is an excellent holiday cottage and we highly recommend it. Hide

This is a very comfortable cottage right in the middle of the Derbyshire Dales. Great views, easy to get to and easy to drive to Chatsworth and our favourite Bakewell. Location is quiet but at the same time a short drive from main roads. Pubs within a mile or so walking distance and shops a short drive away. Plenty of pub food choices locally. TherRead moree is a nice 3-4 hour circular walk from the garden down around the reservoirs- find it on the OS map app. The cottage is exceptionally clean, well equipped, with a nice log burner, comfortable sofas, super showers, good beds, and a nice layout with the kitchen and dinning area adjacent and the lounge straight off this area down a couple of steps.
