Rustle up tasty family meals in the stylish bespoke kitchen/diner, which contains everything you should need plus a Bluetooth radio and Nespresso coffee machine for those all-important morning caffeine hits. Celebrate special occasions on the patio through French doors, before settling down on one of the plump sofas in the contemporary lounge beyond, where a roaring wood burner sits within a grand fireplace. Sleeping four across two bedrooms both with en-suites, each room has been beautifully finished to include exposed beams and ceiling trusses, antique-style furniture and luxurious linens.

In the summer, there’s no better way to while away an afternoon than with a BBQ on the patio overlooking the spectacular rolling Derbyshire countryside. Hidden away down a peaceful country road, the property offers a scenic location with miles upon miles of walking routes from the doorstep. Once you’ve conquered the surrounding hills and valleys, take on the 13-mile Tissington Trail, which runs from Parsley Hay in the north to Ashbourne in the south. Soak up some culture at nearby Chatsworth House (12 miles) or Haddon Hall (10 miles) or browse the independent shops, cafes and pubs of Bakewell, Buxton (8.5 miles) or Ashbourne (14 miles).

Lovely barn conversation looking out on to pasture, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked, and the living room very cosy. We loved this big sized and cozy apartment, which offers enough space for 2 couples. We particularly liked the quiet location in the middle of the beautiful landscape, where you don't hear anything except the birds and the rustling of the trees. Fantastic. Quiet location but within easy reach of trails. Garden is enclosed so ideal for the dog. Well equipped kitchen. Beds are comfortable. Our third visit to this property as it suits all of our needs. A number of National Trust/Historic houses in the region.

The location is magnificent with surroundings of rolling hills and farm fields. Not a sound. The cottage is ideal for two couples with very comfortable large ensuite bedrooms. well positioned for Bakewell and Buxton and close to some amazing peak walks. Felt at home as soon as we arrived.

Lovely cottage in a quiet location. Very generously sized rooms, especially the main bedroom which was quite grand. Handily located for visiting Buxton and Bakewell. The local pub, "The Royal Oak" was excellent and easily walkable. We had a great time.

Our second visit within the last year. Cottage, enclosed garden and quiet location are ideal . Within easy reach of trails make it perfect for walking, cycling and dog friendly. The garden was perfect for our dog. There are lots of National Trust properties within easy reach. We shall return.

A very comfortable, spacious barn, very well appointed. The stairs are quite difficult as so deep , with the rail partly on one side.

Hawksmoor Barn is in an idyllic situation. It offers total peace but is convenient for visiting all local centres and amenities. It is well equipped and comfortable. We were two couples staying and the bedroom/ bathroom arrangement offered complete privacy for both.

A well appointed, warm and spacious house in an idyllic part of the Peak District. Lots of walks nearby (close to Tissington Trail) and well served by a good selection of local pubs. Easy access to Buxton and Bakewell and not far from Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Tissington Hall.

The cottage was fabulous and we had an amazing time. The bedrooms and bathroom were spacious & luxurious. The downstairs space was very homely and relaxing after a days hiking. The garden was a wonderful safe haven for our dog and she loved playing there. The surrounding countryside was so beautiful and peaceful given the nearest property was over Read morehalf a mile away. The main towns & hikes were only 15-30mins away and we enjoyed a beautiful circular walk to Hartington directly from the house. Hide

This property has been one of the best we have stayed at in the UK - and weve stayed in quite a few! The location is just stunning. Pros - Very spacious property, which was warm and comfortable. Towels and linen were good of good quality and kitchen was adequately equipped. The cottage, although remote, is in a good location with a welcoming pub within a 40 minute walk. Cons - Some more attention to detail is required. ie Tin opener and Tv remotes didnt work! Toaster and hob weRead morere quite grubby. We got snowed in and no help was available to help us clear the very long driveway, so we could not get our car out! Hide

Amazing location, peaceful and quiet yet within east driving distance to Bakewell and Ashbourne. The property was beautifully appointed and very warm, just what we needed in the snow! High quality towels and bedding added to the experience. Well certainly be booking again for a break next year.

My wife and I had an absolutely fantastic week away at the barn. The woods at the back were perfect with a dog on the days where the weather kept us mostly inside. Particular recommendations are the Royal Oak pub nearby, excellent food and very friendly staff, and walking in the next valley over near Pilsbury. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing stay at the wonderful Hawksmoor Cottage. Had everything we needed, very comfortable, very warm and totally out in the sticks - just as we like it! Lovely furnishings and dcor with a nice welcome food pack. Will be coming back next year hopefully! A truly lovely find!.

We were delighted with the comfort of this property. It was furnished and equipped to a very high standard. It was a real luxurious home from home experience. Very warm and well heated for such a large property, anyone going this winter will be nice and cosy!
