We had a lovely stay. The cottage is cosy and nicely decorated, with some nice touches. The location is perfect for exploring and the Pub down the road was welcoming with good food and drinks. We would happily stay again.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. We stayed here for a week in 2021 and had to come back. It has everything you need and gives a relaxing hub from which to explore the surrounding area. 10/10 we will be back.

Lovely cottage, well equipped with everything you need. Comfortable. Be advised though the photos are old, garden is much more comfortable but the lounge recliner sofa is no longer there. The location was good, easily accessible to many hiking trails, the 'tourist' ones within 20-30 min drive. It was quiet and even when we did have a few issues LizRead morea was very helpful and quick to respond. I would recommend staying here for a cosy quiet retreat Hide

The property is in a great location with easy access to the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales. There is a nice local pub and microbrewery 300 metres down the road. The house is lovely inside and has a relaxing patio area with a scenic countryside view. We really enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend it.

Great location. Very clean. Both cottage and garden need major TLC. Damp patches on ceilings patchy paint work. Outside paint work shoddy. Broken pots/containers left in garden. Loose slates not a good base for dog areas. Not good value for money.

Fabulous place to stay. It gives you a big hug from the moment you walk thru the door. Great location for getting to lots of different places. Village only has a pub so be prepared with provisions before you arrive.

Thor's cottage was without doubt the most comfortable holiday let we've stayed in. So many personal touches to make your stay a welcoming one. The bed was really comfortable and the bath in the bedroom amazing! Will definitely come back.
