Perfectly sized for a couple’s getaway, this charming shepherd hut has everything you need for a romantic getaway in the Peak District National Park. The accommodation is set on 38 acres of ground and is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts with abundant walking trails and nature reserves nearby. During your stay, you can also enjoy a private garden with additional sheltered seating in the summerhouse.
Climb a few exterior steps to reach the front door of the shepherd’s hut and step inside to find one neat open-plan area with a curved ceiling and plenty of natural light. Straight ahead is the grey and white one-wall fitted kitchen with cooking essentials. To the left is a drop leaf table and chairs plus a double bed with convenient storage underneath. A shower room is through the wooden door on the right. Outside is a private garden with a BBQ, a fire pit, furniture and a summerhouse. There is smple off-road parking at this hut.
While staying in the small village of Danebridge, you can easily pop into the local eateries for a special meal out (0.5 miles). Start your day with a walk along the River Dane (less than 0.5 miles) or explore the mystical and historic Lud’s Church (8 miles). Head south to reach elevated views of the National Park from The Roaches, a mountain peak 8 miles away. The Three Shires Head waterfalls (8.5 miles) are also nearby for a relaxing paddle and waterside picnic. Spend an afternoon at one of the picturesque rural villages like Castleton (19.5 miles) or Edale (21.5 miles).
