This rural Peak District cottage with a garden and an open-plan layout sleeps up to three guests and four canine companions. Spend your time away exploring the walking trails, dog-friendly pubs and nature reserves nearby. At the cottage, you can admire countryside views from the floor-to-ceiling windows and spend cosy evenings relaxing by the fire or cooking homemade meals for your loved ones.
Step inside and find yourself in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with wooden furnishings and tones of grey and orange throughout. Natural light pours through the picture windows onto the sofa seating area surrounding a wood burner. In the corner of the room is a wooden dining table with chairs. Continue into the kitchen area to find traditional wooden cabinets making up the fitted ‘L’-shaped unit with white surface tops. Completing the interior is a contemporary family bathroom plus two bedrooms – a double with an en-suite wet room and a single bedroom. Outside, you’ll find a garden with a BBQ and furniture. There is off-road parking for one car.
While staying on the outskirts of the Peak District’s village of Flash, you’ll be just 6 miles from the spa town of Buxton. Take your four-legged friends for a run around the Three Shires Head (3 miles) hiking area where they can go for a splash in the waterfalls. Step back in time at the Ruin of Errwood Hall (9 miles) or Solomon’s Temple (4.5 miles) – which is also a great spot for far-reaching countryside views. For a challenging adventure, head to the top of The Roaches, a mountain peak 5 miles away.
