Go rock climbing or abseiling at Stanage Edge (6.5 miles), where the views of the Dark Peak moorlands are incredible. Or make your way into Castleton (2 miles) and take a walk up to the ruins of Peveril Castle, one of England's earliest Norman fortresses. Afterwards, enjoy a lazy lunch in one of Castleton’s pubs. Alternatively, head underground for an adventure at Blue John Cavern (4 miles). Check out the Waterfall Cavern, with its impressive multicoloured dome, and the Variegated Cavern, which is a massive 150-feet-high and 30-feet-wide.
