Settle in for a comfortable stay at this delightful cottage in the bustling Derbyshire town of Buxton. Sleeping four guests, the charming stone property has two bedrooms and is in a great location for strolling into town and reaching shops and restaurants, as well as planning forays out into the beautiful Peak District National Park on foot or by bicycle. Discover the history of the famous thermal spa town; enjoy its impressive architecture and make the most of its reputation for its arts and culture.

Make your way into this light cottage via the hall, where you can leave all your outerwear. Follow on through into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which is very much the hub of the characterful property. Settle down in here to enjoy your favourite tunes through the CD player or Bluetooth speaker or to watch a film on the TV/DVD. Find everything you need to make homecooked meals on the days you don’t feel like eating out and a washing/dryer in a utility space beneath the stairs. A bathroom, with underfloor heating, is also on the ground floor. Make your way up to the level above to find a double bedroom and a twin. This property comes with parking for one car and cycle storage with electric bike charging.

Join one of many fascinating tours around the town of Buxton to learn more about its history. Visit the family attractions of Poole’s Cavern, a great limestone cave, and the Buxton Crescent Visitor Experience, which tells the story of the spa town. Pick up the Peak District Boundary Walk from the marketplace in the town. This meanders for 190 miles through stunning landscapes. Drive 11 miles from the town to follow a stretch of the 268 mile-long Pennine Way, which runs from Derbyshire up to the Scottish borders.

Lovely and cosy for a cold weekend, parking and central location was so convenient. Very quiet, clean and comfortable, the hosts who lived nearby made sure we knew they were available, if we had any problems or needed advice on the local area.

This is a very comfortable and well equipped cottage. A great selection of local produce was provided on arrival as well as fresh flowers in the main bedroom. These were much appreciated. The location in a quite side street is excellent - very close to the shops but also very peaceful and it's a great base for walking or exploring the area by car. We had a very comfortable stay in a well equipped cottage. Natural light, well aired and full marks for cleanliness. It was a very easy stroll into Lower Buxton with access to Pavilion Gardens, Tourist Information, historic parts of the town and main shoppping precinct. Cosy cottage close to all amenities and easy to travel from to other locations. As stated parking and road is quite tight if you have a larger car. Myself my partner and my 15 year old son had a lovely few days here. Thank you.

The cottage was exactly as described. It was very well presented, clean, well equipped and warm. The location was quiet, yet right in town, minutes away from historic Buxton, cafs, restaurants, shops and pubs.

We had a fabulous stay in the cosy No. 5. The location is close to all amenities and parking is a welcome bonus as were the lovely locally sourced welcome treats. The beds are comfortable, the shower was great and the art around the house is very tasteful, local and interesting. We would definitely stay again!

Great cottage, lovely and cosy. Everything that you need is close by. Parking is tight but I got my Mazda CX5 in ok. Plenty of nice pubs and places to eat.

Lovely cosy cottage in a great location. Hosts were friendly and welcoming, leaving a tasty welcome hamper and handpicked flowers to greet us with. Luckily we took our smaller car as the car parking space is very tight. Guests perhaps need to be made more aware of this as the alternative parking is a little further away! We had a wonderful week staying in this cute and cosy cottage. Everything was lovely from the start, the welcome pack with local produce was a nice gesture, the house was very well presented and we all had great night sleeps after busy days out exploring. Central located so close to everything Buxton has to offer but quiet, and with own parking space. Very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Would stay here again if visiting the area.

A comfortable house with plenty of room for four guests. Very handy for the town and all the facilities you could need. Plenty of choice of pubs and eateries. Only a short walk to the Market place, the Opera House and Pavilion. A useful and lovely welcome pack was waiting when I arrived. Recommended.

This is a beautiful, cosy, clean and comfortable cottage! The owners left a lovely gift box of local produce inspiring us to buy local products from nearby shops. They were helpful when needed to give us salt to clear the ice on the road but afforded privacy as well. We enjoyed Buxton including the fantastic Scriveners Bookshop which is only 1 minuRead morete's walk away. I would highly recommend this cottage and hope to stay there again in the future. Hide
