Perfect for couples, friends and small families, this cosy cottage with wonderful views will be your home from home. Enjoy nights in the garden, watching the stars and relaxing with good company.

Enjoy everything the Peak District has to offer from this cosy cottage with wonderful views, perfect for a group of four friends or two couples. This pretty home is in Cressbrook, a delightful village perched on the River Wye and on the cusp of the Derbyshire Dales National Nature Reserve. The popular Monsal Trail is just a short walk away, perfect for cyclists, walkers and horse riders.

Accessed via some steep steps, this contemporary cottage is welcoming and comfortable. It has everything you will need while holidaying in the Peak District, including space to hang up your wet coats, a large range oven to cook up a storm, and outdoor space for dining alfresco. Take a seat at the dining table and admire the superb views out towards the rolling countryside, or fire up the wood burner and unwind on the sofas in front of the TV. Upstairs are three delightful bedrooms. To the rear of the cottage is a pretty, enclosed, courtyard garden. Out here you will find a table and chairs, a BBQ and further, far-reaching views across to the Derbyshire Dales.

Midway between Buxton and Bakewell, the lovely village of Cressbrook is tucked away from the main roads and is at a junction of the dales. This means you’ll be well situated to explore the varying countryside around you. The village is home to millponds that attract abundant wildlife and Cressbrook Dale is popular with rock climbers and those who enjoy woodland walks. The River Wye winds through the Peak District, and there are opportunities for paddleboarding, kayaking and fishing. For pubs, cafes and shops, head to nearby Tideswell (3 miles).

We felt that it should be made clear on the website that the woodburner is not a luxury. There is a single electric heater in the living room and the woodburner is necessary to keep the living room warm in the winter. We had to buy 5 bags of logs in addition to the one left in the cottage to stay cosy.

A great place to stay. Fantastic view of the valley. We stayed with small children so not much opportunities for long walks from the house. Its a good base to discover many of the Peak District beauty spots. A National Trust membership gives more visiting opportunities. Everything we expected and owner was very accommodating.

Amazing view, I chose it for the view really. Lovely tidy, clean cottage, parking a bit tricky, had to park long way up road, lovely walks down to river. Near some really good pubs .

The location of this cottage is stunning, with an amazing view from the back of the house. There are also great walks and a short distance from picturesque villages. We had a lovely stay and our host even left some toys for our baby. I'd recommend staying here.

Nice cottage great view down valley. how quiet!!!! Really was a good base for Monsall trail and surrounding area of Peaks at a very god price for cottage hire.
