Situated in the owner’s grounds, this stylish and spacious rural retreat is perfect for families and groups of friends looking to explore everything Carsington Water and the Peak District has to offer. There’s plenty of room here for eight guests, with remarkable views across the surrounding rolling countryside and direct access to footpaths leading to the reservoir.
The beautiful kitchen/diner is flooded with light due to the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors spanning the whole width of the room. It’s a contemporary and stylish space with loads of room to come together and enjoy eating, cooking, celebrating or planning your daily adventures. Get competitive over the football table, before heading to the downstairs double with en-suite or upstairs to one of three delightful bedrooms. The master suite’s en-suite bathroom boasts a freestanding bath in which you can lie back and admire the far-reaching countryside views out of the window. Outside the property is a wonderful space for enjoying summer evenings and there’s even a helicopter pad, just in case.
Take the footpath that leads directly to Carsington Water and take a stroll along the shorelines. You can also enjoy a variety of water sports and other activities here, including fishing, kayaking, or windsurfing. Cyclists will love the 8-mile mountain bike course adjacent to the lake. The pretty town of Bakewell is 13.5 miles from here, where you can enjoy the River Wye and access to the traffic-free Monsal Trail. The route runs along a former railway line, making it fantastic for cycling, walking and horse riding.
