A contemporary yet cosy haven on the cusp of the Peak District National Park, this impressive abode sleeps five along with two canine companions. Delving deep into the Derbyshire countryside will reward you with marvellous landscapes, exhilarating walks and endless potential for adventure with your family by your side. Grabbing the chance to relax is paramount to your experience, so you’ll love kicking back in the hot tub with a drink from your personal tiki bar where the rainforest mural makes it all the more exotic!

Packed with artistic flair and beautifully furnished throughout, you’ll find plenty of spots for wining, dining and unwinding in equal measure. Whether you are putting your culinary skills to the test in the spacious kitchen area or grabbing forty winks in the lounge, you’ll feel right at home from the moment you scale the glass balustrade staircase to find your open-plan living space. Outside, there is an impressive three-tiered garden complete with a BBQ, fire pit and a lower-level area with play equipment. There’s also the secret courtyard with its bar and hot tub. At bedtime, another staircase leads up to the three bedrooms and a bathroom.

Seize the day and set out to investigate the iconic stepping stones at Dovedale (14 miles), cheer along the procession at Matlock Bath illuminations (2 miles) and gaze across the countryside from the cable cars at the Heights of Abraham (1.5 miles). Bakewell is a short 12.5-mile drive away and promises tearooms, independent shops and quintessential charm, but there is also a popular outdoor adventure centre where you can arrange caving, mountain biking and gorge scrambling. We stayed at Dawn's House for a long weekend to celebrate a 40th birthday and we could not have picked a better place to stay! The house itself is beautifully decorated and comfortable, just like a home from home. There were thoughtful little touches throughout, from the chocolates and biscuits to the face masks and bubblebath. The location is absoRead morelutely stunning and there is so much to do in the local area. We would absolutely recommend staying here and we will definitely be coming back to stay Hide

Really lovely property, very clean, tidy, welcoming and family friendly it was home from home, it is also conveniently located. We didn't have the key safe details and the owners kindly texted us these which was really helpful. They also have a folder with very helpful information about facilities in the area

Beautiful little house in great location for exploring this beautiful part of the world. The beds are so comfy (Emma mattresses) that we all had the best nights sleep. The hot tub is an absolute highlight, and after a long day of walking the gorgeous countryside, relaxing with music in the tub with all the jets - bliss! The small village of CromforRead mored is gorgeous (the view over the mill pond is just lovely) and we had a great night out at The Boat on quiz night - cheesy chips and cake for free! Hide
