Enjoy this studio-style apartment as a base from which to strike out and immerse yourselves in the beauty of the Peak District National Park. Sleeping two guests and also welcoming canine companions, this one-bedroom hideaway is perfect for couples who love hiking, climbing and cycling. Set within the village of Bamford, it is well positioned for the spectacular Ladybower Reservoir, 1.5 miles away and Bamford Edge, an overhang of rock with panoramic views, just 1 mile away.

Follow a set of outside stairs down to the studio where you’ll find yourselves in a contemporary, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom where you can pull off your walking gear and unwind after each exciting day out. Relax on the sofa, which can also be used as a bed, and find a film to enjoy on the Smart TV in the evening. Unpack any fresh Derbyshire produce you have bought in the kitchen space and whip up delicious dinners for two to enjoy at the table. Have a hot shower after each exhilarating excursion and then lay your head in the comfortable, super-king-size bed.  Although there is no garden, guests are free to use the outdoor seating at the pub which enjoys lovely views.

Plan trips into the picturesque Hope Valley, 5 miles away, and venture out into Edale, 8 miles away, where you can pick up the Pennine Way and follow it for a spell. Head to the Ladybower Reserve to wander footpaths here or to hire bicycles and enjoy the scenery from the saddle. Have a day out to the Blue John Cavern, 7 miles from the studio, where mining of the semi-precious mineral blue john still takes place. Travel 12 miles into Bakewell to amble through its charming streets and pause in a tea shop to sample its famous pudding.

Very noisy location, only window opens out onto busy road constant traffic from around 5.30 am , couldn't keep the window closed as it was nearly 30 degrees even with the window open , lots of noise from the pub below too this didn't stop until 1.40 am . Large area of damp and mould in bathroom, which also smelt damp and mouldy , left after 2 days

If you don't mind loud music (base) until late (1am), then this is the place for you. No dvd player to enable you to watch anything worthwhile while being kept awake. The area is OK but location of the property is over a main road which adds to the noise, especially at night. The property was OK but furniture uncomfortable, shower quite small, and Read moreaccess steps quite steep & slippery. Good off road parking facilities. Hide

Lovely little place , perfect for Peak District hiking etc . Perfect for couples that want a place to kick off their boots at the end of a hard day , grab a shower and just chill , either on the sofa or literally next door in the pub .

A good base to explore the Peak district. Perfectly clean, adequately equipped and comfortable enough for a holiday break. The outside stairs to the front door are a challenge to those (like us) past their prime. Warm morning showers are a matter of patience, because all hot water has to come out from the main building. The pub below itself is veryRead more comfortable and welcoming but the kitchen keeps different hours. Hide

Great location, well equipped, enjoyed our stay. Bonus being above pub / cafe, didn't try the pub food but cake and coffee from cafe were lovely.

A lovely, bright little flat, generously equipped, in a perfect location for access to the area. Very good value for money compared to other cottages.
