This cottage is made for a special escape to the Peak District, perfect for families and groups of friends, this detached cottage is in a wonderful village location yet with miles of stunning footpaths wandering through one of the most popular spots in the national park. Castleton is such a pretty little town with its own castle, 7 watering holes (all dog-friendly) fabulous restaurants and delightful cafes. You will be minutes from famous hikes such as Mam Tor, Back Tor and the stunning Winnats Pass and Cavedale. The Pennine way starts from Edale, 2 miles away. Castleton and the surrounding countryside are popular for all kinds of activities including, walking, cycling, hang-gliding and caving. There is a heated outdoor swimming pool in nearby Hathersage 6 miles away.

Step into the ground floor entrance hall with space to store your coats and boots and wander through to the open -plan kitchen/diner with breakfast bar and dining table, perfect for a celebratory meal. There is a handy utility room and a nearby shower room. Head upstairs to the first floor where you will find a lounge with ample comfy seating, the ideal place to snuggle up in front of the wood burner and watch a favourite on the Smart TV after a day hiking the hills, in the winter time enjoy views over The Great Ridge.
