You will be minutes from famous hikes such as Mam Tor, Back Tor and the stunning Winnats Pass and Cavedale. The Pennine way starts from Edale, 2 miles away. Castleton and the surrounding countryside are popular for all kinds of activities including, walking, cycling, hang-gliding and caving. There is a heated outdoor swimming pool in nearby Hathersage 6 miles away.
