Holiday in wonderfully converted stables for a remarkable rural retreat at the edge of the charming village of Onecote in the tranquil Staffordshire Moorlands countryside. It is ideal for couples looking for an active holiday. Head out to explore the footpaths, bridleways and lanes on foot or bicycle, taking in the beautiful scenery of the Manifold and Tissington Trails before returning to your charming cottage. Open the curtains each day to see the beautiful surrounding countryside as you enjoy a true taste of rural living.

Step into the well-planned kitchen/diner with everything you need to prepare delicious food during your stay. Sit at the dining table and plan your activities or reflect on the day's events, then retire to the lounge and sink into the comfortable sofa. A picture window and a door to the patio offer lovely views across the fields, while underfloor heating and a wood burner will keep you snug, whatever the weather. Stop by Thor's Cave (4 miles), a magnificent natural cavern in a steep limestone cave, as you hike along the Manifold Way.

We spent a week in this beautiful barn and chose the week of very wet days! The barn made up for the weather, it is warm, having underfloor heating and a log burner, superbly equipped ( we ate in most of the time) and has the most comfortable of beds. We spent a very happy three nights in this quiet, rural location over New Year. The shower cubicle is large, with a lovely bath next to it, and the bed was very comfortable. The cottage is centrally heated, but we made full use of the log fire for added cosiness. The kitchen had everything we needed, so when we'd finished exploring the Peak DistricRead moret, we made dinner and settled down to Netlflix or Amazon Prime, and even played Snakes & Ladders, and Ludo on a board! Had a relaxing stay at this wonderful cottage. Angela and Steve were lovely hosts; they have thought of everything you could need and have recreated the 'home away from home' feeling perfectly . lovely cottage in a perfect setting. Everything we could have wanted from a well equipped kitchen to a very comfortable bed. It was great to wake up on a morning to the peace of the surrounding countryside. Definitely recommend staying here.

My wife and I spent a great week at Steve and Angela's cottage, who were excellent hosts. The quality of the cottage is first rate with everything you could possibly need provided by the owners right down to a coffee frother.
