Walk or cycle the High Peak Trail, which begins in nearby Cromford (1 mile). Along the way, you can climb the famous Black Rocks or take one of the walking circuits through the woodland. Derbyshire is famous for Bakewell Pudding, so head to Bakewell (10 miles) and indulge in a real treat. There are plenty of walking opportunities from Bakewell, including along the Monsal Trail or to the magnificent Chatsworth House. For something a little different, you should spend time exploring the nearby Crich Tramway Village (5.5 miles).
