Stay in a beautiful contemporary family home, perfect for friends and families to come together and enjoy a memorable escape on the edge of the Peak District. It is ideal for walkers, cyclists and those who love pretty villages and historic homes. Hike from your doorstep in any direction or via the beautiful Lumsdale Falls and stop off at a local pub or microbrewery. Matlock and Matlock Bath are 2 miles away with dramatic limestone cliffs. Follow Lovers' Walks, a short, flat path near the River Derwent or a ride a cable car up to the Heights of Abraham.

Step into the hallway of this chic property, set over two levels, with plenty of space for you to socialise and spend quality time after a day of adventure. Head to the kitchen/diner which has all the necessary appliances to create a celebratory meal, a breakfast bar to keep things friendly, and patio doors leading outside. The lovely lounge is a relaxing space to put your feet up, with comfortable seating and a Smart TV to watch a favourite film. Upstairs is a bathroom and four bedrooms (one en-suite) - one super-king-size, one king-size, and two doubles. Sit outside in the enclosed garden on the patio area with seating and dine alfresco with friends or family.

The Peak District has attractions to suit all ages. Cromford (4 miles), with its rich history and beautiful walks, including along the canal, is a must-visit. The magnificent Chatsworth House (11 miles) was the location for filming Pride and Prejudice. Buxton is a great base for a day of adventures on two wheels or on foot. Hikers and cyclists can follow sections of the Monsal Trail, and walkers can test their skills on the Peak District trails. Cyclists can head to Ashbourne (17 miles) to tackle the 13-mile Tissington Trail.

Would highly recommend this lovely holiday home, has everything you need & more ! A lovely basket of goodies greeted us upon arrival which was much appreciated. A great location, lots of lovely walks nearby, a pub a few minutes walk away with fantastic food & a good atmosphere.

An immaculate property with everything you could possibly need for a great holiday. The home is spacious, luxurious and a real home from home. Everything from furnishings to towels and bedding are top quality. The Gate Inn is a short walk away and the food and atmosphere are great
